About the artist:
Wendy is a Hamilton, Ontario native but now resides full time in Prince Edward Island. Throughout her life, Wendy dabbled with painting. However, it wasn't until she retired to the Island that she learned some methodology and visual skill from another PEI artist.
That experience opened her eyes to the beauty of detail in watercolours and as a result, she tends to focus on capturing subtle details in her work. The technique of layering and blending colours appeals to her as it mirrors her own journey of self-discovery.
